From the 24th October for four weeks Grafton Way will be closed between Huntley Street and Tottenham Court Road for drainage works. There is no reasonable alternative to the south until you get to Tavistock Place. Cyclists can use the bus lane in front of UCH if they are careful (note that you will have to make a two-stage right turn at Tottenham Court Road if you want to go up Hampstead Road).
There was a Heritage Lottery Fund stage 1 project hoping to progress to stage 2 and work for 5 years from June 2014 to regenerate the "old town" around the Saturday Market Place. The initial draft contains no cycle measures but does mention cycle access policy, so may be persuaded to reinstate lost public cycle parking in places like opposite the old Post Office and might even be a way to fill in the missing link in National Cycle Network Route 1. The consultation papers are online at http://www.west-norfolk.gov.uk/default.aspx?page=26919 and open until 16 December.
The key cycling problem in this area is the difficulty of accessing Saturday Market Place without passing through the poor junction at its east end and the lack of signs telling cyclists to use Priory Lane to reach SMP.

From 17th August to 2nd October North Gower Street will be closed to all except pedestrians at the Euston Road junction. This blocks the signed cycle route between the Hampstead Road and the Euston Road pop-up lanes.

From September 14th for 6-8 weeks, Tavistock Place will be closed to motor traffic between Herbrand Street and Marchmont Street. Cyclists will be diverted into the main carriageway.

Bene't street will be closed for four weeks (until early/mid Feb 2020) so that Anglian Water can work to repair a collapsed sewer in Cambridge. A diversion for cars will in place. The footpath is open to people walking and pushing their cycles. The diversion for the cars means that Corn Exchange street is two-way for cars and this has implications for people cycling on the contraflow lanes.

From Monday 25th November to Monday 2nd December Gower Street will be closed from Grafton Way to between Torrington Place and Chenies Street for resurfacing. There will be no access for motor vehicles nor cyclists and both University Street and Torrington Place will be closed with diversions in operation. This will obvously have a major impact on the E-W cycle route on Tavistock Place/Torrington Place. Details of diversion routes are shown in the attached thread.
Then from December 2nd until Monday 9th the works move south and Gower Street will be closed from north of Chenies Street to mid-way down Bedford Square. The E-W cycle route on Tavistock Place/Torrington Place will re-open. This should have less impact but there will still be local diversions.

From 25th November to 23rd December one lane of Eversholt Street will be closed between Phoenix Road and Drummond Crescent for work on a 16" water main. Traffic will be two-way but controlled by signals and therefore is likely to be even more congested than usual. In addition, Phoenix Road will be closed so cyclists will need to use Polygon Road to access Somers Town and Ossulston Street.
Update 27/11/19 - now deferred till 2020

From 20th November until 18th December contractors Sf Stefan will be laying broadband fibre on Royal College Street. This will affect the northbound with-flow cycle lane. As far as possible, a segregated cycle lane will be maintained by closing parking bays and using barriers to make a cycle lane in the main carriageway but there may be a few locations where cyclists temporarily have to use the main carrigeway.

From late July till end November, Robert Street will be closed between Stanhope Street and Hampstead Road for HS2 related water main replacement. All traffic including cycles will be diverted.
Update October 2019: Works extended to end of year.

Royal College Street works 8th July -16th August
The planters will be replaced by granite kerbs – affecting RCS south of Baynes Street.
The works will start on 8th July and are expected to be completed by 16th August 2019. During the works, northbound cyclists will be diverted to use the with-flow traffic lane whilst southbound cyclists will be diverted to use St Pancras Way.
We will keep you informed here as to which segment of the cycle track is currently unavailable.

From January through June 2019, Gloucester Gate will be closed to all traffic including cycles. It is possible to get through on the footway (by dismounting). We are trying to get a better solution in place but in the meantime the only other options are to use Albany Street and Chester Gate (southbound) or Prince Albert Road and Macclesfield Bridge (westbound).
Update 7/6/19: Gloucester Gate has now re-opened to two-way traffic. So cyclists can now enter and leave Regents Park here, but, unfortunately, so can drivers.

From June 1st for several weeks, Calthorpe Street will be one-way westbound for motor traffic to allow replacement of a gas main. We have negotiated with the contractor and Camden to allow contraflow eastbound cycling through the works, but please take care; this may be rescinded if there are any issues. At a later stage, Kings Cross Road will be closed southbound at the junction with Calthorpe Street.

From 18th February to mid June, Guilford Street will be one-way westbound from Grays Inn Road to Grenville Street for the replacement of a 32" gas main. Eastbound traffic will be diverted via Theobalds Road and Roseberry Avenue but cyclists will be better off using Tavistock Place and Ampton Street (CS6). Note that Guilford Street is already permanently one-way westbound west of Grenville Street. At the same time, a raised junction will be installed at Guilford Place.
Update 22/5/19: Works now extended till end May and new closure due to work on the Great Ormond Street Hospital building. As well as a new gas main, works include electricity and water.
Update 5/6/19: Works complete as far as Guilford Place but still one-way from there to Grenville Street.

There are currently temporary traffic lights around this junction. Work is expected to be finished on the 15th June 2019.
These roadworks are now for the junction improvements that will provide a cycling route to/from the cycle lanes of Royal College Street (North) to/from Prince of Wales Road via castle Street.
Here are links to the proposed infrastructure improvements scheme:

The initial works were for Virgin Media presumably preparing for the main changes.

I've read that there are to be roadworks on the B1049 in Histon at the Green, which means temporary traffic lights and the closure of the end of Impington Lane. I can't find many details but the local HisImp News paper says it is starting 8th April for 8 weeks.
I'm concerned about cycle & pedestrian access to Impington Lane from the B1049 during this period and whether access will have been fully considered. Turning onto Impington Lane coming from the South normally quite dangerous as the road is narrow (hopefully to be improved by the works!)

Howland Street is closed to motor traffic from Thursday 31st for several weeks. Cyclists will still be able to use it except for 2 days, probably 7th and 8th Feb, when it will be completely closed. On these days use the signed diversion via Grafton Way and Whitfield Street or walk through.
