The brook conduit has partially collapsed under the road and the shared-use path. It is currently being repaired (after nearly a year) but the contractors have made use of a very interesting "Cyclists dismount and get an escort" sign. A yellow ramp also makes passing on any non-standard cycle a real challenge. Both of these items are really bad practice and actively discriminate against anyone on a non-standard cycle.

This route should be signed. It's a very nice quiet bicycle-walking connection between Liberton and Gilmerton, but very difficult to find, especially the footpaths between all the curved bits of Malbet Park/Wynd.

The cycle route warning signs on lighting columns QAD014 and QAD011 haven't been reinstated following the replacement of lampposts in Queens Avenue. These Google StreetView images show them on the old lampposts:

The signs should be reinstated to ensure that other road users are aware that they should expect to see cyclists emerging from the section of cycle path adjoining Queens Avenue.

Inconsistent and incorrect No Cycling signs exist at the Sheepfold Lane end of the Great Oak Row cycle / foot path. Cycling is permitted here, as can be seen from the cycle symbol on the ground. These signs should be replaced with shared-use cycle / foot path signs to avoid causing confusion.

There are no cycle route signs at the junction of North Holmes Road with Havelock Street in Canterbury despite two advisory on-road cycle routes meeting at this point. Cycle route signs should be installed to allow people to more easily follow and discover Canterbury's cycle network.

Permanent cycle route signs with destinations and distances are needed for the cycle route via Wincheap Trading Estate. Currently this has temporary Sustrans ranger stickers.
