HS2 works have closed both bridges south of Quainton (including the national byway). The signposted diversion adds extra distance along very fast, busy roads. There are cycleways under construction along some of those roads, but currently fenced off.

After the diversion, a farm track connects the A41 to a cycleway back to Waddesdon, but this isn't signposted and it's not obviously a right of way.
